Oasis Christian Counselling (OCC) was established a number of years ago, initially as a response to a need for counselling within the church. In recent years, however, we have been aware of a great need within the local community and are now in a position to offer counselling to people outside our fellowship. The counselling centre is situated in the church house next door to the church - tel 01704 544388.

The team consists of a number of trained and experienced counsellors who all receive supervision from an accredited counsellor. Oasis counselling provides a safe and confidential environment in which to explore areas of concern.

Some people are uncertain about asking for counselling, but it can help with problems such as anxiety, depression, grief, marital and family issues. Matters of faith and sprituality are also important areas which can be discussed in the christian context.

People are referred to us from a variety of sources, including: local ministers, 'word of mouth' from other people who have previously attended themselves, Yellow Pages and, occasionally, local General Practitioners.

No charge is made for counselling, but some may wish to contribute to the running costs of the service.
